🏥Plan your PCR test (unless positive 14-180 days ago)

In order to re-enter Canada, you must have a negative PCR test done in the United States within 72 hours of seeking entry into Canada. If you tested positive 14-180 days ago, you do not need a PCR test.

For New York City: Anyone can schedule a free COVID PCR test at NYC Health+ locations, and if you have access to a car, use CVS drive-thru testing, which is also free, regardless of insurance coverage or immigration status.

For Boston: If you don’t have access to a car, plan ahead to visit a COVID-19 Testing Sites funded by the City of Boston. Link HERE. (Appointment may be required. Saturday hours may be limited. Please check ahead and plan ahead)
If you have access to a car, CVS drive-thru testing is available free of charge nationwide.

The use of ArriveCAN mobile application is MANDATORY for re-entering Canada, regardless of citizenship.

You will need to stay in the U.S. for at least 14 days, and on the 15th day, bring the proof of the positive test and you will be allowed entry into Canada.
